Why blog? I think there are as many answers to this as there are blogs, and with over 150 million blogs worldwide (as of 2013), that is a lot of answers! What are our reasons for diving into the blogosphere? Customer Relations!
We want to share with our clients (and potential clients) all the services that we offer. We want to contribute to the progress of your event or business. And one of the many avenues we have identified for doing this is a company blog.
This blog will also be different in topic and scope than your typical business blog. While it has often been recommended – for good reasons – that blogs be specific, this blog will not meet that criterion. Our services and clientele are too diverse.
For example, many clients come to us with an event need. Even our company name implies event planning. What clients may not know is that we also serve as the administrative arm of over a half-dozen organizations. We manage their membership databases and websites, oversee their budgets, draft their marketing and business plans, and much more.
Ultimately, unlike traditional marketing (brochures, catalogs, mailers, etc.), blogging allows the reader to respond – to join the conversation. While we will be showcasing our own staff experiences and expertise, we ultimately want to know what you – the client – needs.
So please read, respond, suggest and interact with us!
