In-Person Summits (2016/2018)

Meetings Northwest, has worked with the National Center for Rural Road Safety and a large committee of professionals from different industries, on three consecutive National Summits on Rural Road Safety. With politics in limbo, it has been imperative to join key leaders in transportation engineering, safety, aging, economy and tribes to not only collaborate, but to execute a strategy to address high casualties, struggling economies and infrastructure in rural America.

To fulfill this plan, it has been imperative to reach the right people. Meetings Northwest researched and designed a marketing campaign specific to the five areas established as key to the conversation.

Meetings Northwest duties included:

  • 2 In-person summits (2016/2018)
  • Event Branding/Marketing (logo, website, save the dates, banners, print materials, email campaign, etc.)
  • Speaker Coordination
  • Agenda coordination
  • Sponsor/Exhibitor procurement and coordination
  • Networking events
  • On-site Event Management
  • Registration consultation

Virtual/Online Summit

The 3rd National Summit on Rural Road Safety was a 2020 program that we began planning the in-person event and then had to pivot to virtual when it became clear COVID was going to prevent any event gatherings. We extensively researched online event platforms to find the best fit for this event and coordinated the design and build of the event on the platform to include the live streams, custom designed virtual exhibit booths, games, quizzes, and feedback surveys. To ensure the best production quality, we facilitated meetings and trainings with all the speakers, moderators, and exhibitors in advance of the live event so all felt comfortable with the platform operations, how they would be presenting, and audience interaction options that were available. We worked swiftly to promote and educated the audience to the online platform resulting in a record attendance, triple of the expected in-person attendance!
